Happy Memorial Day weekend to you. I hope you are all having a good weekend and spending time with friends and family, or at least doing something you want to do!
May is the official start to barbecue season and we have our rubs up on the website. We are discontinuing the seasoned salt so we have it marked down. It is a darn good seasoning, but it is our second most costly seasoning to make, and it hasn’t been a good seller. It is just too hard to compete with Lawrey’s (which is excellent by the way). There isn’t many left if you are interested.
We are using the extra time this weekend to crank out some more tackle. Got a bunch of jig heads poured and finished clear coating a bunch of spoons the other day. The manufacturing process for our spoons takes a long time due to the number of days we wait letting paint cure, then letting the clear coat sit so it gets good and hard.
Sometime in there I will find time to get the pork butt on the smoker (H2 Red Onion will be slapped all over it). Got the battery charged on the boat, need to change the lower unit oil, then the old Bayliner is ready to be fired up and hit the lake next week to do some much needed lake therapy and R&D on some new tackle and baits!
Look for some round head jigs and the Quick-Change Catfish Rig to be appearing on the website in the next few days.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend, make good choices (kids? you hear me??) and have some fun. But please never forget what this weekend is about. God Bless the USA!
